Z73 / AM730 KDAZ AM 730 KDAZ Radio has been in operation since 1971 as the first Christian radio station in Albuquerque and New Mexico. For over 34 years KDAZ radio has provided the people of New Mexico with a variety of the best in Christian programming. It was also instrumental in raising the funds needed to build the first Christian VHF television station in New Mexico and the nation: Son Broadcasting Network (Channel 11). In 1977 a radio-share-a-thon was held and over $500,000 was raised in one week to meet the critical deadline the television station needed. By the time the TV station went on the air over 2,000,000 was raised through the powerful ministry of 730 KDAZ.
Over the years KDAZ has not only met the spiritual needs of the community, but has partnered with national and local ministries such as the 700 Club's Operation Blessing. Thousand have come to know Jesus Christ through the tremendous ministries carried on KDAZ.
Today AM 730 KDAZ can be heard not only in New Mexico, but throughout the world via Sky Angel on channel 9773 and through the worldwide web at www.kdaz.org. Functioning at 1,000 watts on the AM dial, 730 KDAZ has never compromised the quality programming it first started with. It offers a variety of programs that challenge, uplift, and teach listeners to grow in their faith.
Listeners enjoy programs such as Janet Parshall's America, Point of View, Jay Sekulow Live, June Hunt, The Adventure, Heart Country, CCM Magazine, Soul to Soul, International News live from Jerusalem, and others. Calls of appreciation continue to flood the Z73 phone lines thanking us for carrying "Light Through the Night," a powerful dramatized Bible program that airs throughout the night and early morning, providing encouragement, and faith through the power of God's Word.
